It's Monday again. Welcome to July!

Hello again, guys and gals! What's shaking? I knew that I could not possibly match the amount of books I read last week (four, in case you were wondering) and I was right. This week I read one book and I am about halfway through another. I am ok with that. Some weeks you actually have to sleep instead of staying up until 2 a.m. to finish the book!

Make sure you come back tomorrow, because I have something super exciting to tell you! Until then, I present to you the books.

Read This Week:
The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next, #1)
By Jasper Fforde

Posts from this Past Week:

Reading Now:
The Chosen
By Chaim Potok

Up Next:
Telegraph Avenue: A Novel
By Michael Chabon

What are you reading this week?

  2. I read The Eyre Affair a few years ago. Happy reading.

My favorite read last week was The Bride's Kimono by Sujata Massey. Please come see what else I'm reading.

    1. I'm excited to read it. This is the first time I've been to the library in a while - I've been trying to read through my personal to-be-read shelf.

  4. The Eyre Affair sounds really interesting. I love books about books. I haven't read Jane Eyre before though, and it sounds like I might want to before reading this.

    1. The author is so creative! I think it would be helpful to read Jane Eyre, but I think you would understand even if you have not read it.

  6. Isn't it funny how our reading fluctuates from week to week?

I haven't read any of the books you have this week - will have to come back and read your reviews of them to see if they are my type of books.

Have a great week (and I'm so curious about your surprise for tomorrow that I will definitely be back!)

  7. I haven't read The Eyre Affair yet, but I rate Jane Eyre as one of my fave top ten books, so maybe I should give this one a go! :)

    1. I think you would enjoy it. It gave me a different perspective on Rochester that I really liked.

  8. I'm enjoying it so far. I'm finding I have to be in a certain mood to really read more than a few pages, though.

  9. I know - Usually I sit out on the porch while the little guy rides his bike in the driveway, but this week we have been inside in the AC. Keep cool!
