Hello, there. How was your week? Ours has been busy and I am really happy because my best friend has been here visiting for the past few days. We have been friends since high school and although we live in different states now, I'm always so glad when we can fit a few days into our busy lives. This might help to explain why I am still reading the same book. It could also have something to do with the mountain of reviews I have to catch up on. Oops....
Still Reading:

What are you reading this week?
Enjoy your friend. The reading and the reviews can wait!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristen. I agree!
DeleteEnjoy your visit! It can be so hard to keep up with friends as life seems to take over. So, have a great time!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jennifer. It's been a wonderful few days.
DeleteIf you ask me, having a high school BFF in town is a perfect reason to read a little slower. Is this your first time with Brian Jacques? I was obsessed with his books for most of middle school, and Martin the Warrior is the first book I can remember making me cry about a character. I've been thinking of rereading them sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I hope you and your friend share a fabulous time!

Thank you, Elizabeth. I'm so glad you will be sticking around! :)
DeleteThat's great to hear! I'm always excited to find a book I will be able to share with my son when he is older.
ReplyDeleteLove love LOVE Paul Auster!!! Looking forward to your thoughts on In the Country of Last Things. I have it floating around on my shelves...somewhere. :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Oracle Night. I think I am still processing my thoughts about In the Country of Last Things. It's interesting that Auster was thinking about a post-apocalyptic world years before it was popular, isn't it?
